If you never have played before, take some lessons before trying to go out to a course. Driving ranges are good places to start and often offer inexpecive lessons. Also, the first time you go to a real golf course remember other golfers get cranky over people who take too long, so take lots of inexpensive balls. If you loss one, look for it for a second or two but then drop another quickly and go on… That’s why they sell 12 at a time. It’s part of the cost of the game and everyone losses balls.
